It has 137 beds and is located at the back of Roberta Place. The facility offers independent living and health care. The Christian Labour Association of Canada represents registered practical nurses, personal help workers and program staff at Roberta Place. Employees who have been diagnosed with illness were offered grief counseling and crisis counselling by the facility’s management. They also granted several weeks of time off to employees who requested it.

Roberta Place has been declared an epidemic by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit as of January 8, 2019. 47 people have died as a result of the outbreak, along with the caregiver who cared for them. Roberta Place has seen 127 residents, staff, and other partners test positive for the disease.

Owen Hill Care Community

Downtown Barrie is home to the Owen Hill Care Community. It was established in 1971. It currently houses 152 people. The facility was visited by Doug Downey, Ontario Premier. He announced that the province would fund the construction of a larger facility with 30,000 more beds. The province has also committed to renovating 28,000 beds in long-term care facilities throughout the province.

Three residents of the community were recently killed. On Monday, one person died at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. Two more people died at the facility on Sunday. The regional death toll now stands at 23. COVID-19 is currently being treated at several facilities in the region. Owen Hill is the most recent. Seven facilities were affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.

Owen Hill Care Community, a small community of nursing homes located in the middle of Barrie, is an excellent choice. This community is a great choice for those who require long-term care, but don’t want to live in a nursing home. It offers fully furnished rooms, daily activities, meals, and other services that will promote health and wellbeing.

Sienna Senior Living

Sienna Senior Living in Barrie, Ontario has announced their plans to grow. They have reached an agreement to buy the Woods Park Care Centre, Barrie. The new facility will provide a continuum in care and include 123 long-term, government-funded beds. This deal will expand Sienna’s presence in Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area. https://www.ask4care.com/barrie/

The Owen Hill Care Community is currently managed by Sienna Senior Living in downtown Barrie. This community currently has 57 rooms, and there are plans to add more. The $6.4 billion investment by the provincial government will allow for the construction of 30,000 long-term care beds in Ontario by 2028. It also pledged to improve at least 28,000 long-term care beds in the province.

Sienna Senior Living communities offer a range of services including activities that promote wellness and allow residents to be active. These programs include daily entertainment, physiotherapy and social activities. Some communities offer spiritual care. Residents have the opportunity to join a Residents’ council and share their concerns with the administration.

Sienna plans to increase its long-term care community more than sixfold. In the past year, the company reported strong occupancy growth. However, the company’s retirement homes were only 85% full in the quarter just before. The occupancy rate in the long-term care sector is currently at 87.0 percent.
